Description
Bronx Skate Park, also known as Allerton Skate Park, is a 6,000 square-foot skate park located inside Bronx Park, near Allerton Avenue in The Bronx, New York City. It features a smooth skating surface and is equipped with various modern facilities, including a quarter pipe, bank ramps with ledges, a skate pyramid, grind rails, and more. The park is unsupervised, offering skaters the freedom to enjoy the space independently.
As of August 2020, it is one of six skate parks in The Bronx managed by NYC Parks. The park’s layout includes a decent-sized area with features like a down rail stair set, numerous ledges (both straight and rounded), and appealing ramps such as quarters, hips, and a fun box.
Bronx Skate Park is open every day and typically closes at dusk. It providesa recreational space for skateboarders of different skill levels to practice and enjoy their sport.
