Also known as Highbridge Skatepark, situated underneath the Hamilton Bridge in Washington Heights, stands as the largest skatepark in NYC, offering skaters a vast array of obstacles to conquer. Located at 2401 Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan, the skatepark boasts concrete ramps, rails, and steel grinding areas strategically designed on an incline to provide skaters with maximum momentum during their maneuvers.
The park’s thoughtful layout and lighting infrastructure ensure optimal conditions for skating, extending into the evening during the fall and winter months when daylight hours are shorter. The park’s location underneath the Hamilton Bridge adds an urban touch to the skating experience, and its proximity to the Bronx, known as a rollerblader’s paradise, ensures consistent usage and maintenance.
Highbridge Skatepark’s street area features two levels, incorporating a challenging sequence of ledges, including a well-known straight ledge with a reputation for its severe waxing.
