Tucked into the Foreshore Reserve at the corner of Point Nepean Highway and Boneo Road, Rosebud Skatepark is a straight-up street skater’s paradise. Forget bowls and transitions—this is a pure plaza setup, designed for grinding, sliding, and linking smooth technical lines.
What makes Rosebud stand out is its variety. The park is stacked with ledges of all shapes and sizes, so whether you’re just learning board slides or working on your precision nose grinds, you’ve got plenty of room to progress. The tiny three-stair set comes complete with a mellow down rail and a hubba, making it beginner-friendly but still fun for more experienced skaters. Add in the standalone marble banks set at different angles and you’ve got endless options for creative approaches.
There are also granite rails and ledges, which give a real street feel, plus some super steep banks perfect for wall rides if you’re chasing that gnarly, old-school street vibe. And then there’s the quirky little “u-pipe” feature—not quite a mini ramp, not quite a bank—just one of those odd obstacles that challenge you to figure out new tricks.
Being right by the beach, Rosebud Skatepark gets packed during the summer holidays. Expect to see crowds of scooter kids zipping around on their brand-new Christmas presents while their parents eat ice cream nearby. If you’re after a quieter session, your best bet is hitting it up early in the morning or later in the evening when the crowds die down.
All in all, Rosebud Skatepark is fun, versatile, and definitely worth a stop if you’re cruising the Mornington Peninsula. It’s not the place for big airs or deep bowls, but if you love ledges, lines, and a real street plaza vibe, this one’s for you.
