Located at the Lake Street Community Center in the heart of Los Angeles, Lake Street Skatepark stands as a vibrant hub for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Constructed in 2019 by Spohn Ranch, this state-of-the-art facility spans 7,000 square feet of concrete, offering a skating experience in LA’s historic Filipinotown District.
Skate Park Layout:
- Mini Ramp and Street Plaza: Lake Street Skatepark has a mini ramp and a street plaza. It providesa range of features for skaters to explore and enjoy. From transition ramps to street obstacles, the park offers something for everyone, catering to both transition skaters and street enthusiasts.
- Blend of Street and Transition Features: Designed by Spohn Ramp, the park offers a blend of street and transition features, creating a versatile and engaging environment for skaters. The street plaza is complemented by quarterpipes, banks, stairs, handrails, hubbas, an A-frame, manny pads, flat rails, and more, allowing skaters to unleash their creativity and hone their skills.
- Historic Location: Situated in LA’s historic Filipinotown District, south of downtown, Lake Street Skatepark adds to the rich cultural tapestry of the area. As a central location for skaters, the park serves as a gathering place where community and skate culture intersect, giving a sense of belonging and camaraderie among local skaters.
- Safety and Accessibility: To ensure a safe skating environment, all skaters are required to wear protective gear at all times. Additionally, there is an associated fee for using the facility, helping to support the maintenance and upkeep of the park.
