Lafayette (Carls Jr) Skate Plaza
9386 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90057, USA
Lafayette Recreation Center proudly introduces Lafayette Park, a brand-new public skate plaza curated by the renowned skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and the generous support of Carl’s Jr. This outdoor skatepark, nestled in the Wilshire area (Macarthur neighborhood) of Los Angeles, spans 7,000 square feet, providing an exciting terrain for skaters of all levels.
The park features a dynamic layout with stairs, ledges, rails, and unique obstacles, offering an authentic street skateboarding experience. Despite its relatively modest size, Lafayette Park flows seamlessly, resembling a genuine street spot, complete with perfect ledges and ample flat ground. An intriguing element is the cement bank shaped like the iconic Carl’s Jr. star, adding a distinctive touch to the overall design.
Skaters can enjoy Lafayette Park at any time, as it opens 24/7 and admission is free. The inclusion of lighting facilitates night skating, contributing to the park’s accessibility and appeal. Lafayette Park stands as a testament to creating innovative and street-skateable spaces within budgetary constraints and limited space, enriching the skateboarding experience in the heart of Los Angeles.
