Description
Hermoso Skate Park, also known as Hermoso Skate Plaza, is a well-equipped neighborhood skatepark located at 2030 E. Southern Ave. in Phoenix, Arizona. Open daily from 5:30 AM to 11 PM, this free-admission facility caters to a variety of wheeled sports, including skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX, and scootering.
The park offers a versatile range of obstacles suitable for all skill levels. It makes it a great spot for both beginners and experienced riders. Some of its key features include a Hubba, Grind Box/Ledge, Manual Pad, Quarter Pipe, Roll In, and Stairset. Additionally, the park is well-lit, allowing skaters to continue enjoying the space even after sunset.
Operated by the City of Phoenix, Hermoso Skate Plaza is designed with steel structures above ground. It providesdurability and a smooth riding experience. It features two ramps, a pyramid with grind boxes, grind benches, a grind rail, and a fun box, ensuring plenty of variety for skaters looking to practice different tricks and techniques.
While the park follows a “skate-at-your-own-risk” policy and is not staffed, the use of protective gear—including helmets and pads—is mandatory to promote safety. Users are strongly encouraged to exercise caution while enjoying the park’s facilities
