📍 6000 S Quebec St, Greenwood Village, CO 80111, USA
The William McKinley Carson Skatepark, located adjacent to City Hall, underwent expansion in 2018 and is designed and built by Team Pain. With a concrete surface spanning 16,000 square feet, the park offers a variety of features, including two bowls ranging from 4′ to 8.5′ high, a 4′ section with a 2″ steel rail and a 20′ long runway, a 10′ long by 4′ high 4″ mini ramp, a 4′ vertical drop, baja ramp, and an 8.5′ high ramp spine with a teardrop. The facility caters to intermediate-level skaters, although all skateboarders and skaters are welcome to test their skills.
The skatepark operates without lights, limiting its use to daylight hours. Adjacent parking adds convenience for visitors. The facility imposes rules to ensure safety and proper use, requiring users to skate within their abilities and wear mandatory safety equipment, including helmets, elbow and knee pads, gloves, and wrist supports. Smoking, drugs, alcohol, profanity, and boom boxes are strictly prohibited within the facility, and unruly conduct or vandalism can result in the loss of skating privileges. Bicycles are not allowed, and users aged 12 and under must be supervised by an adult.
Special time restrictions apply, with the skatepark reserved for users aged 12 and under on Wednesdays from 4 pm to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 11 am. The standard operating hours for the facility are from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week. The user-friendly rules and designated time slots contribute to a safe and awesome experience for skaters of varying skill levels at William McKinley Carson Skatepark.
