Description
Greensborough Skatepark might not be the biggest spot around, but it packs a surprising amount of variety into a pretty compact space. You’ll find it tucked right next to Kalparrin Gardens, just off Yando Street near the Greensborough Mall. The setting is actually really nice — greenery all around — but what makes this park unique is how it’s literally built on a hill. The layout has this sort of concreted rice-terrace vibe, where you’re dropping down from section to section. It looks cool, but the catch is that the design makes the park pretty one-directional, so flow is limited.
The Bowl (Top Section)
Right up the top is a square-ish, super tight 6–7 ft bowl. It’s got an over-vert corner extension with sloped coping, which is rad if you’re into that kind of challenge, but it can be a bit gnarly if you’re not used to tighter transitions. Definitely more of a “get in, carve a few lines, and try not to clip out” type of bowl.
The Street Drop
From the bowl, you’ve got a few ways to drop into the next level. Options include:
- A bank
- A hubba
- A steep quarter
- A mini quarter to bank
- Or, if you’re feeling brave, a down rail over a big stair set (about a 6-stair equivalent).
That down rail is no joke. If you’re not confident, maybe give it a pass unless you’re cool with the idea of dental bills.
The Middle Section
Once you’re rolling, the park continues to step down with more features:
- Down rail over bank
- Bank
- A solid euro gap to quarter
- A hump to quarter
- And a down rail over a steep 9-stair section.
There’s a lot crammed in here, so you can pick your line, but again — the downhill flow means it’s more of a “one-and-done” run than a spot you can loop around endlessly.
The Lower Section
At the bottom, you can cut back into the park through a mix of banks and quarters. One of the standout features here is a steep quarter with about 2 ft of vert on top — definitely not beginner-friendly, but it’s there if you want to test yourself.
