Description
Situated at the Cerritos Sports Complex on 19900 Bloomfield Ave., the 10,000-square foot skate park is a community initiative catering to local skating enthusiasts. Designed by Purkiss Rose Landscape Architecture and constructed by Hondo Company Inc., the park was created with input from a committee of Cerritos youths and adults, ensuring a safe and challenging environment for skateboarders and in-line skaters of all skill levels.
The park has a variety of features, including benches, ramps, rails, curbs, pyramids, snake runs, hips, and bowls, spread across its 90-foot by 120-foot layout. While the facility will not be supervised, participants under 14 years of age must have adult supervision. Only skateboards and in-line skates are permitted, with bicycles and scooters restricted. Safety equipment, including helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads, is mandatory for all skaters, and skating is prohibited during rainy or wet conditions.
Operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 8 am until dusk, and on Mondays from 11 am until dusk. The facility offers free entrance, and nearby free parking is available. Overall, the Cerritos Sports Complex skate park provides a thoughtfully designed and secure space for skating enjoyment in the community.
