Beaumaris Skatepark is tucked off Keating Street, right next to the footy field at Donald MacDonald Reserve. The park sits on a concrete slab with mini quarters at each end, a couple of rails, and a small drop in the middle. Although modest in size, it offers some nice lines and the concrete is quick under wheels.
Ramp skaters might find the layout a little underwhelming, as the quarters are spaced far apart with flat ramps in between. Still, it’s a solid local spot — worthy of three out of five stars.
One advantage of its small scale is that it rarely gets crowded, meaning you can dial in your tricks without much disruption. There’s even a big safety net nearby to shield prams (though it won’t do much against a stray drop punt from the footy oval).
Other perks include close parking, grassy areas to chill out, and handy amenities like toilets, BBQs, and drinking taps. The park is also right by the 3rd Beaumaris Scout Group hall, so don’t be surprised if things get busier during footy games or Scout events.
