Since its grand opening on October 1, 2018, this skate park has become a beloved hub for skaters of all ages and skill levels, offering meticulously designed terrain and a welcoming atmosphere for enthusiasts to enjoy.
The Wells Branch MUD Skate Park is not just a skating facility; it’s a meticulously landscaped oasis designed to enhance the skating experience. The park’s landscape features lush grass, xeriscape-inspired plantings, and a synthetic turf area, creating a serene and inviting environment for skaters and visitors alike. Additionally, bench and stadium-style seating are strategically placed throughout the park. It providesample space for relaxation and observation.
The skate park has a array of terrain designed to cater to skaters of all skill levels. The upper skate plaza features ramps such as flat bars, manual pads, flat ledges, a 6-stair set with hubba ledges, down rail, and Euro Gap, among others. The flow bowl, with depths of 4-5 ft deep, offers a friendly yet exhilarating experience for skaters looking to carve and flow. Meanwhile, the lower skatepark section provides a turn-around area a variety of banks, hips, and transitions for skaters to explore and experiment with unique lines.
Safety is a top priority at the Wells Branch MUD Skate Park. Usage is intended for skateboards, in-line skates, and BMX freestyle bikes with plastic pegs only. Motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited to ensure the safety of all skaters. Additionally, the park is unsupervised, and users are encouraged to skate at their own risk. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and safety equipment, including helmets, kneepads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and proper shoes, is highly recommended for all skaters.
The Wells Branch MUD Skate Park welcomes skaters daily from 6 am to 10 pm. It providesample opportunities for enthusiasts to enjoy the facilities at their leisure.
