The Harold E. LeMay Skateboard Park, situated behind the Sprinker Recreation Center adjacent to new baseball fields, is a premier concrete skatepark in the state. Open daily from 9 am to 8 pm, it accommodates all skill levels and offers an array of features:
1. A peanut bowl with pool coping at depths of 9' and 11'.
2. An out-of-sight snake run ranging from 8' to 11' in depth.
3. A 10' vert wall.
4. A 14' clamshell.
5. Half pipes.
6. Waves.
7. Banks.
8. Rails and steps.
9. Multiple shade structures and bleachers for families and viewing.
Membership cards are required for entry, available during normal office hours with proper ID. Participants over 18 need legal ID, while those under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present for registration. The first membership card is free, with a $5 replacement fee.
Skatepark rules include mandatory check-in at the control room, limited access for spectators, and no riding or skating inside the building. The park supports skateboards, scooters, in-line skates, and 20' bikes only. Helmets are mandatory for users under 18 and all bikers, while protective gear is recommended for all. Pierce County Parks & Recreation monitors the park, but users must skate and bike respectfully. The county assumes no responsibility for injuries or property damage, emphasizing personal responsibility within the facility.
