Description

Silverado Skatepark is a 5,000-square-foot park situated in Silverado Park, located on the west side of Long Beach, CA. Positioned on the site of an old basketball court and separated by the Los Angeles River, this skatepark stands as the sole skateboarding facility in West Long Beach. The park is uniquely composed of prefabricated ramps and features elements relocated from the Michael K. Green and Bixby (Cherry) skateparks after their refurbishment. Additionally, the Dew Tour contributed elements to the park in 2018.

Operating hours for Silverado Skatepark are as follows:
- Friday: Open 24 hours
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed
- Monday to Thursday: Open 24 hours

The skatepark offers a back-and-forth run design, incorporating a quarter pipe and flat bank on the sides of a funbox. The park is illuminated with lights, enabling skaters to enjoy the facility even during nighttime hours. It falls under the category of a wood park, providing a different feel compared to concrete parks. However, due to excessive use over the years, many elements have undergone repairs, rendering some non-functional, with only a few exceptions.

Silverado Skatepark is free to use, making it an accessible and cost-effective option for skateboarders in the West Long Beach community.
