📍 Griffith road skate park, Griffith Road, Ipswich QLD, Australia
ocated in the heart of Ipswich, the Rotary Skate Bowl serves as a stark reminder of how far skatepark design and construction have come. Once considered a local gem, it now feels more like a relic from a time when skateboarding infrastructure was still finding its footing.
The park features very old, rough concrete and awkward, kinked transitions that blend abruptly into banks—making it difficult to maintain flow or execute clean lines. While it may have once been a dream spot for local skaters, these days it’s likely only used occasionally, if at all.
That said, it stands as a testament to the evolution of skatepark design, highlighting just how fortunate we are to have access to the newer, smoother, and more thoughtfully built parks of today.
