Description
Far Rockaway Skate Park is a public skate park on the Rockaway Beach and Boardwalk in Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC, opened in 2011. The park was built over a
large parking lot.
The skatepark project was part of a larger renovation of O’Donohue Park that began in 2010 and was completed in 2011. Plenty of handrails, stairs, banked ramps,
and more. This is the best place to blow off some steam and enjoy the beach. Has bleacher-type seating for viewing the skaters doing their stunts. It’s pretty nice for
all levels of skaters.
One of the best features of the park is that it’s like five steps to the beach. So you’ll get to know how to enjoy skating while enjoying the cool breeze from the ocean.
It’s open from dawn until dusk, and it’s just free!
This is one of the best skateparks in NYC.
