Poe Mill DIY Skatepark is a grassroots, skater-built gem that showcases the creativity, dedication, and grit of the local skateboarding community. Nestled in the historic Poe Mill area of Greenville, SC, this DIY skate spot is a testament to what can be achieved when skaters come together to carve out a space for their passion.
The park is built entirely by skaters and volunteers using donated or salvaged materials. While it may lack the polish of a city-funded facility, it more than makes up for it with soul, character, and functionality. The layout is continually evolving, so each visit can offer something new.
🧱 Features and Obstacles
- Hand-poured quarter pipes of varying heights and transitions
- Manual pads, banks, and ledges scattered throughout
- Custom-built kicker ramps and DIY grind rails
- Flat open concrete areas perfect for warm-ups, flatground tricks, and cruising
- Rough but ridable terrain, adding a true DIY challenge
- Transition corners, often shaped uniquely due to space and material availability

Poe Mill DIY Skatepark is generally open to the public year-round during daylight hours. There’s no gate or official entry, but local skaters adhere to respectful daytime usage.
