Oswego NY Skatepark
Location: The Oswego Skatepark is located in Oswego, New York, right next to the water at the Riverside Park. It’s easy to find, and you can enjoy some good views of the lake while you skate!
What is it?
Oswego Skatepark is an outdoor skatepark that’s built for skateboarders, BMX riders, and anyone into wheels. It’s a rad spot for people who love to hit up smooth concrete and flow through a variety of features.
Size
The park is pretty solid with around 10,000 square feet of terrain. While not massive, it’s got enough to keep you entertained for hours. It’s the perfect size for both beginners and more advanced skaters looking to session.
Features
- Street Section: Rails, ledges, and some stairs – great for technical street tricks.
- Bank to Wall: A fun feature that allows for some big ollies or grinds.
- Quarter Pipes: Great for carving, grinding, or just catching air.
- Funbox: A multi-use spot for jumps, grinds, and combos.
Opening Hours
Since it’s an outdoor park, Oswego Skatepark is open year-round, as long as the weather’s good. However, here are the general hours:
- Monday – Sunday: Sunrise – Sunset (basically whenever the sun’s up, the park is open).
During the colder months, you may want to check the weather before heading out!
Vibe
The vibe at Oswego Skatepark is super chill. It’s a local spot, so you’ll see a mix of skaters of all ages, from the younger kids learning their first ollies to the seasoned riders pulling down big tricks. The community is friendly, and it’s a great place to meet fellow skaters.
History
Oswego Skatepark opened in 2012, and it’s been a favorite spot for skaters ever since. The park was built with community support, and it continues to get some love with occasional updates and improvements to keep it fresh.
