Oak Harbor Skatepark
2111 Swan Dr, Oak Harbor, WA 98277, USA
This park is off the wheezy for any skill level. There’s a nice 6′ half pipe escalading down to 4’with good copping layer evenly. It has 2 over size stair sets one with a square rail “the black rail” and the other with a round rail “the silver rail”. Both rails are a wee bit lower that regular street rails but only off by a coupled inches. The silver rail is the taller of the two by about 2 inches. There is a nice roller about 5′ high on the big end rolling to a perfect 4′ flat sided pyramid. the other end of the roll is about 3′ high going to the mini end of the where there is a mellow quarter pipe that’s like 1′ high with baby ledges going down and the ends of it to stay the small bruisy. There are two 2 1/2′ quarter pipes on the mini end of The skate park with handicaps ramps on the sides of them that make for a good kicker. There’s a smaller pyramid that’s about 2 1/2′ high that has a small ledge in the center diving the pyramid from some the whoops that aren’t that awesome for skating but it seems the BMX bike riders like them to gap. There’s a really long 4′ quarter pipe that goes around a corner which I guess could be considered a spine but it’s about a 4’transfer that on the other end of it dumps into a 5′ bowl corner which rises up to a 4′ quarter pipe to the right of the bowl and a 3′ quarter pipe that has a deck that goes back then a 3′ extension that’s a big ledge and I’ve only seen one skater 50-50 it and he’s just fricking good but bikers like to do their spiny tire tap things from the quarter pipe to that then into the half pipe. There’s a nice 4′ loading dock. A awesome wedge on the wedge to the right there’s a step up to box that’s real awesome for the technical manual things then on the left of the wedge there’s a nice ledge then in the far back corner is where everyone sits on this rounded ledge that’s atop a pyramid with good Hubba ledge(s)ledge going down it at the bottom of the pyramid there’s a nice flat spot to do some flat lines and a small 1′ high round rail that’s about 15-20′ long along with other orated quarter pipes and ledges etc. scattered through out the skate park. All the cement is buttery smooth the coping (for grinding) on everything is layer perfectly and not poking out or any thing except for on one of the 2 1/2 quarter pipes where the coping (for grinding) is like a giant piece of bum bum laying at the top of it. The skate park is the perfect spot where everyone comes to just hang out. The majority of the people who come to The skate park skate, the biker population here is building up quickly and in the times that it’s crowded they are a pain in the , as for roller blades there is very much none except for one that is hell good and isn’t annoying or anything, the local scooter crew is very awesome they just go around with some pimpn neon’s strapped to the bottom. The skate park is never crowded when there’s school and the only time it gets crowded is sometimes on the weekends and after school for about 3:00 to 3:45 so it’s not too bad so all you have to do is skate with the group that’s skating whatever you wanna skate then you all just hit it up and you don’t even realize that it’s crowded then before you know it people are leaving and you have the last hour or so before it gets dark very much to yourself. the local skate shop is situated 2 blocks away it’s called “GIZMOS skate shop” and all the guys there are awesome so if you bust up your ride go ahead and support the local shop. There’s food spots everywhere the closest ones are jack in the box, mc d’s , taco bell, pizza hut, small cedars and if you really don’t want that across town there is a Wendy’s and a burger king and that’s about a 20 min or less ride away if your on a boa Road check this park out every one here is awesome and just chill. peace.
