North Delta Skatepark, situated approximately 30 minutes southeast of Vancouver, holds a unique charm as the home skatepark of the acclaimed Canadian skateboarder, Ryan Decenzo. The park’s unconventional design, featuring a variety of ramps such as ledges, mellow quarter pipes, down rails, flat bars, and more, showcases that sometimes, less conventional skateparks foster the development of the most unique skaters.
Spanning 12,000 square feet, the skatepark is a street-style haven with several distinctive features, including ledges, rails, a 7-set, a 3-set, quarter pipes, banks, a tech island, and an up gap/box. Despite lacking the sprawling square footage seen in contemporary skateparks, North Delta Skatepark stands out as a productive space that serves as an incubator for talent rather than a crowded and unproductive environment.
The park, located in North Delta Community Park on 84th Avenue between 112th St and 116 St, operates 24/7. It providesskaters with the freedom to explore and hone their skills at any time. As a testament to the park’s significance, GOSKATE encourages people to share their skatepark coordinates, recognizing each unique skatepark’s role in giving talent within the skateboarding community.
