Enjoyable small park. Public, free and concrete- all good. Wavy very smooth concrete in the bowls- not so good.
This park feels as though skaters had input but some translation issues occurred by build time. This is typical of very smooth concrete parks I’ve come to learn, with the contractors not realizing the importance of small but crucial details such as seams or gaps or even the radius of the transition itself. I can’t give a very objective review of this park however, as I only skated for 10-15 minutes before I took it full force on my knee, ending my session (and future sessions for 6-10 weeks!).
Before I flew through the air like an epileptic ragdoll though, I did find a small amount things out about this park:
While some of the obstacles were grossly unprofessional portioned (see the fat rail pharma how small the ramp and ledges are), some others worked very well- like glad small accidents. The very smooth concrete is smooth but grippy around The skate park, which is nice but it’s rough and slow in the bowls.
Maybe Dane or Dustin can flesh out this review with more info because that was about the extent of my experience here.
Local skate shop scattered just up the street for any emergency skate needs.
