Description
Needles Skate Park is situated in Duke Watkins Park at 1500 Flip Mendez Parkway. Built by California Skateparks in 2004, this 10,000 sq ft. concrete park offers a variety of features and unique obstacles. It includes a Speedbump, Hubba, Roll-in, Corner, Quarterpipe, Funbox, Manualpad, Handrail, Flatrail, Ledge, Bank, Stairs, MiniRamp, and Bowl.
The skatepark is conveniently located near other amenities such as a water fountain, playground apparatus (adjacent), restrooms, a soccer/ball field, and a turf area. It opens daily from 6 am to 10 pm, with lighting available for night skating. Entrance is free, but riders are required to wear helmets and pads.
Needles Skate Park caters to riders of all skill levels. Newbies can enjoy flat ground and small obstacles, while the park also provides gradual transitions for learning. Advanced riders will appreciate the variety of obstacles. It makes it an exciting place to try new tricks and maneuvers.
