Lancaster Skatepark has a huge variety of obstacles. There are 3 or so sections. The biggest section has 4′ quarter pipes on both sides. In between there are 2 sets of ledges arranged in a square. It looks like these were meant to contains little gardens, but they’re empty. There’s also a bump to bump, a round rail, and a pair of small quarter pipes. In the one corner there’s a 6-stair with square handrails, a bank, and a euro gap over some gravel.
The next section has several obstables in a line. There’s a mellow bank with rails on each side. Next to the rails are a series of very deep steps, almost like manual pads. This leads to an A-frame with a hubba on one side and a round rail on the other. At the end of the line is a 3′ quarter pipe.
In the third section there’s the back of the skatepark. There’s a flat, empty area in the corner (above the 6-stair). Next to this are very mellow banks with hubbas in between. Finally there’s another mostly flat corner of the park, which has a mellow bank and a tiny ledge that you can ollie over or axle stall on.
The surface is concrete. In my opinion it’s one of the smoothest skatepark surfaces in the area. It’s usually clean except for the gravel that sometimes gets kicked onto the concrete.
This is one of the most popular skateparks in the area. On the other hand it’s one of the biggest skateparks in the area, and there’s a good variety of obstacles. Anytime I’ve been there I haven’t had to wait very long in between runs.
There are few small obstacles here. Everything feels a little larger than normal. I think that’s because it’s a “bike park” rather than a skatepark. That said, it can still be skated. You’ll usually find people here using skateboards, bikes, and scooters.
The 6-stair seems underused. I’ve never seen anyone use it. It seems there’s not enough run up up to the stair set. They could use a small quarter pipe in the corner, which would help you gain speed to clear the stairs. (Local Guides)
