Description
This may make no sense but I’m going to put a closed down skatepark on here. It was called industrial and was owned by one of the nicest people ever wade. Well they had to close down for unknown reasons. The skate park is still up for sale with all of the ramps and in it too.
The skate park was right around 50,000 Sq. Ft.. It had a 6 Ft. mini spine with about 50 different ways to transfer into the bowl with. The bowl was 4 Ft. tall and had a vert wall that was really awesome to ride. You could spend hours in the bowl at one session. It also had a sub box then back in the corner there was a 4 Ft. mini that was really awesome and difficult to ride.
Out in the main part of the skate park there was a mini spine section with a spine that was 4 Ft. tall and had a roller on one side then there was a 6 Ft. quarter that went down to a 4 Ft. by an escalator. On the other end of that there was what started out to be 2 quarters with a big bank and wall ride in between, but they took out the bank and put in a 24 Ft. wide quarter pipe with the big wall behind it. They also had an 18Ft. tall vert wall over there too.
Over the street area there were two wedge ramps, one was 12 Ft. high and really steep with a small quarter lip in the center to transfer over to the next wedge which was 10Ft. tall and not so steep. It started off by having a rail down the whole thing but it disrupted the whole flow of the park so they took it out then they had a 4 Ft. high box jump coming down from the big wedge that was just like a perfect dirt jump. It had a big ledge in the center. On the other end they had a 4 foot tall bank ramp with step on one end it was more for the skaters because you didn’t really see any riders jumping them then to top it off they had a 4 Ft. quarter pipe with a small wall thing that could be moved.
I really liked this spot and I think someone should reopen it. If you live in Eastern Iowa would really like to help kids out please try to reopen it so we don’t have to make the 2 hour trek down to rampage just to ride.
