Garvanza Skatepark, a concrete facility funded in part by The Skatepark Project (www.skatepark.org), offers a range of features, including a street area equipped with rails, ledges, stairs, and a substantial bowl. The park, also known as G-Park, has become a local favorite and a home park for some of Los Angeles’ most renowned professional skaters.
Featuring a Hubba, Curb, Roll-in, Corner, Quarterpipe, Funbox, Manualpad, Londongap, Handrail, Flatrail, Ledge, Bank, Stairs, and a Bowl, Garvanza Skatepark provides a simple yet divine layout. Its fame is particularly attributed to the upper deck’s pool, complete with graffiti and pool coping, often gracing the pages of skateboarding magazines like Thrasher Magazine.
The park is illuminated for night skating and is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, offering free admission. However, for the safety of users, protective pads are required while skating. Additionally, the facility features a baseball diamond (unlighted) and a children’s play area, adding to its recreational appeal.
