On May 18, 2001, the City of Coronado unveiled its cutting-edge skatepark located at 2000 Mullinex in Tidelands Park. Encompassing around 16,000 square feet featuring concrete ramps, bowls, grinds, and jumps, the park stands out as an artistic masterpiece designed for skaters of all skill levels.

Located within Tidelands Park in Coronado, California, Coronado Skatepark offers a premier skating experience just steps from the bay. Spanning approximately 16,000 square feet, this concrete skatepark caters to skaters of all levels.

Street Plaza: A 2 to 3-foot deep area ideal for beginners and those seeking a relaxed session.

Clover Bowl: Ranging from 5 to 7 feet deep, this bowl presents challenges for intermediate skaters.

Teardrop Bowl: At 8 feet deep, this bowl offers advanced skaters an opportunity to test their skills

Fees: As of January 2025, the skatepark operates under a pilot program eliminating access fees.

Safety Gear: All users are required to wear helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads.
The Street Plaza, with depths ranging from 2 to 3 feet, is specifically tailored for beginners, while the Clover Bowl, ranging from 5 to 7 feet, provides challenges for more seasoned skaters. The Teardrop Bowl, with a depth of 8 feet, poses the ultimate challenge, seemingly challenging the principles of Newton’s Law of Gravity.
Skaters are required to sign a liability waiver and adhere to strict safety rules, with access fees. Daily and annual passes are available for youth, adults, and seniors, while safety equipment rental (helmet, knee & elbow pads) incurs an additional fee.
