The skatepark, located on the northern part of Bob Kildee Community Park, opened its doors in 1998 and boasts a 12,000-square-foot concrete facility. Designed by Wormhoudt Inc., it features a range of elements including a Volcano, Curb, Roll-in, Quarterpipe, Funbox, Manualpad, Ledge, Bank, Stairs, MiniRamp, and Bowl.
Operating daily from 7 am to 7 pm, the skatepark offers free entrance and is accessible to both skateboards and freestyle bikes. All participants must possess a current skate pass upon entering the park, and safety gear including helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads is mandatory during skating activities. The park is equipped with lighting for night skating, enhancing its accessibility and providing a safe environment for enthusiasts.
