Spacious and big outdoor skatepark, called Reservation Park. With ramps, bowls, ledges, and rails. It is also a concrete skatepark. Light is available for night skating.
Hyde Park Skateboard Park has long been one of the best-quality skate parks in the Boston area. Skateboarding Greats, like Donny Barley and PJ Ladd, frequented the park in it's early days. For younger skateboarders, mom's and dad's might be apprehensive about a family trip to Hyde Park. The neighborhood is not the most desirable. For those questioning the area's safety, which is debatable, we would recommend a visit to the Lynch Family Skatepark in Cambridge. The quality of Hyde Park ramps is superb. This is one of the few parks in the area with lights
This is the Reservation Skatepark in Hyde Park, MA. It is actually part of the city of Boston, I guess. It used to be the warm spot for the transition crew around Boston until Newburyport came about this park is usually empty.
The Bowl is enjoyable, but has a bit too much flat and therefore requires some extra pumpkin . The mini ramp is awesome but has a small amount waves in the surface because only has one noisy layer on it. The Street area has a lot of true street elements like the Loading Dock, some manual pads, a small amount scary hand rails to skate, and a curvy bench-ledge thing.
DIRECTIONS: Take I- 95 to Exit 14. Follow the rotary around to the East Street/Dedham turnoff. Follow East St. to the next rotary. Bear 1st Right out of rotary, uphill onto Sprague St. Follow Sprague for two Mi. or so until you p the Reedville T station. Turn right after station and cross over the bridge. Turn left onto Hyde Park Ave, and follow for half a mile to the Boston Police Warehouse. Bear left, and turn next left onto Reservation Road. The skatepark is on your left.
