Size & Features: Rising just beyond the battlements of Bolsover Castle, the new Hornscroft Skatepark offers a space for skaters of all levels. Designed by Maverick Skateparks, this concrete paradise blends street ramps with smooth transitions, catering to both beginners and seasoned riders. The park’s layout encourages creativity and flow. It makes it a must-visit spot for the skate community.
History: The journey to this stellar park began with the collaborative efforts of Old Bolsover Town Council, Bolsover District Council, and the Extreme Wheels Roadshow. After receiving conditional planning approval in January 2024, construction commenced in March 2024. By September 2024, the park officially opened its doors, marking a new chapter for Bolsover’s skate scene.
