Description
Arthur Lee Johnson Memorial Park in Gardena boasts a 7,000 sq ft skatepark, constructed in 2012, featuring a unique triangular theme that seamlessly blends into the natural hillside. Adjacent to two basketball courts, the park's charcoal-tinted flatwork and dynamic features create an artistically distinct atmosphere. Sculptural versions of skatepark staples, including gaps, banks, and hubba ledges, enhance the park's aesthetic quality. Being close to skateboarding company headquarters in the South Bay, it has become a preferred warm-up spot for industry professionals before hitting the streets.

Equipped with elements like Bank/Wedge, Ramp, Deck, Kicker/Launch, Kink Rail, Grind Box/Ledge, and Stairset, the park offers a spacious outdoor environment for skaters. Operating on weekdays from 3 pm to 9 pm and weekends from 10 am to 4 pm, entry is free, although safety gear is strongly recommended at all times. The skatepark is illuminated for night skating, making it a versatile and appealing destination for skaters of all levels.
