We actually drove past Arcata on the way in and went to Eureka picked up these dudes that Displayed us where the skate park is. I always wondered where Humboldt State University and the heart of Humboldt County was and I found it. Helmets were mandatory here and I guess the cops really try to enforce it however I never saw one in the three hours we were there. What can I say about Arcata other than the best stop on the trip. Everything was perfect and then there was these awesome banked corners around the outside of the square that you could use to stay your speed up for hitting the big stuff. Lots of local skaters here and everybody was really awesome I highly recommend it it you are in the area.
