I am applying to be a skateboard instructor because I love skateboarding and I would love to share this passion with other people by teaching them. I have self-taught all of the tricks in my arsenal. Additionally, I am patient and I don't get frustrated. I am not and have never been sponsored. I started skateboarding when I was 8 years old. I stopped skateboarding when I was 12 years old to try ball sports such as basketball and soccer. I am 24 years old and started skateboarding again at the beginning of this year, making it about five years of total skateboarding. I got back into skateboarding due to my passion for the sport. While playing ball sports, I always kept up with my favorite pros such as Paul Rodriguez, Ryan Sheckler, and Andrew Reynolds. To this day, I regret taking the pause to try ball sports. After picking up skateboarding earlier this year, I learned I didn't lose any of my tricks. In fact, I learned a lot of new ones too.
