A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.
