A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.
