A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.
