A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.
