Homedale is a city in Owyhee County, Idaho, United States. The population was 2,528 at the 2000 census. The town name was chosen by drawing names from a hat. Homedale is part of the Boise City–Nampa, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Homedale is located at 43°37′8″N 116°56′13″W / 43.61889°N 116.93694°W / 43.61889; -116.93694 (43.618980, -116.936836).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,528 people, 842 households, and 595 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,859.5 people per square mile (1,109.2/km²). There were 933 housing units at an average density of 1,055.3 per square mile (409.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 63.77% White, 0.20% African American, 0.99% Native American, 0.71% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 30.58% from other races, and 3.68% from two or more races.
