Haviland is a city in Kiowa County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 701. Haviland is home of Barclay College.
Haviland is known for meteorite finds connected to the Haviland Crater and for an annual meteorite festival held in July.
Haviland was founded by a group of Quakers originally from Indiana and named for Laura Haviland, a leader of the Underground Railroad.
Haviland is located at 37°37′0″N 99°6′20″W / 37.616667°N 99.10556°W / 37.616667; -99.10556 (37.616685, -99.105478). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km), all of it land.
