A 2023 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.
