A 2023 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.
