A 2023 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.
