A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.
