A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.
