A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.
