A 2023 report by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.
