A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.
