A 2023 report by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.
